A chemical attack on the Ukrainian populations. This is the accusation launched by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki against the Russian army. The words of Joe Biden’s spokesperson have traveled around the world and are yet another piece of a military campaign that the United States is fighting not boot on the ground but in mainstream newspapers.
What concrete evidence does the United States have of the Russian planning of this criminal plan? There is nothing concrete, Psaki speaks of American and Ukrainian intelligence sources. It is not the first time that the US has accused a foreign country of being on the verge of using chemical weapons against the civilian population. On February 5, 2003, then US Secretary of State Colin Powell went to the UN to prove that Saddam Hussein was dangerous and had to be shot down. For the demonstration he was equipped with vials with a white powder, which must have been anthrax, and toy vans to simulate the mobile laboratories with which Saddam could have used “weapons of mass destruction.”
The West believed in that ridiculous full-screen staging, largely orchestrated by the Italian secret services. Thus broke out the second Gulf War. The war machine was on the move, the attack started six weeks after Powell’s intervention at the United Nations. Useless the information of the UN inspectors who from Baghdad denied, claiming that Saddam no longer had those weapons.
Not only were they not used but they were never even found because they weren’t there. But Saddam was eliminated and Iraq destroyed. Two years after Powell’s speech to the UN, a government report said the intelligence community was “dead wrong” in its assessments of Iraqi capabilities to produce weapons of mass destruction prior to the US invasion.
Today we are in the same situation. The United States accuses Russia of planning a chemical attack on Ukraine. The truth is that since 2017, Russia completely destroyed all its chemical weapon stockpiles, most of which had been stored since the Great Patriotic War. This was confirmed by Hamid Ali Rao, Deputy Director-General of the Technical Secretariat of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Ukrainian editions also wrote about the early elimination of all chemical weapons in Russia.
The surreal aspect of this dramatic story is that a chemical attack could indeed occur in Ukraine. But in false flag mode. The Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement stating that “We know for sure that with the support of Western countries, the Ukrainian Security Service is preparing a provocation with the use of toxic substances against civilians. According to Mosca, “the purpose of the provocation is to accuse Russia of using chemical weapons against the population of Ukraine. We officially state that the units of the Russian Armed Forces involved in the special military operation do not have chemical munitions.
The Russian government’s press release ends with a precise alert: “The Russian Federation, unlike the United States, has long fulfilled its international obligations by completely destroying all chemical weapons stockpiles. To prevent any provocations of Ukrainian nationalists with toxic substances, Russian servicemen in the liberated territory take dangerous objects under control and ensure their safety “. Furthermore, from the information gathered on the battlefield, the Russian defense ministry has the certainty that some military formations of the Ukrainian National Guard are in possession of chemical weapons: “among the combat documentation captured by us in the 4th brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard , there is a detailed map of the territory of Ukraine with objects and types of toxic substances stored on it. Therefore, any attempt of Ukrainian Security Service provocation with the use of toxic substances will be revealed “.
