President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday met Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Emir Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud.
The meeting comes on the sidelines of the 33rd round of Arab League council at the Summit level in Bahrain.
Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in service of the two countries and peoples and in contribution to the region’s stability and to push the inter-Arab cooperation forwards.
President al-Assad stressed the need to develop mechanisms of cooperation and coordination among the Arab states, hailing Saudi Arabia’s role in this regard.
Emir Mohammad bin Salman, in turn, pointed out the need to reinforce dialogue between the two countries, affirming importance of Syria’s strong return as an interest for the Arab as a whole.
