The Islamic Jihad prisoners announce that they will not be accepting condolences on the Martyrdom of Khader Adnan and call for holding the killers accountable.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons told Al Mayadeen on Tuesday that they will not accept condolences for the Martyrdom of Sheikh Khader Adnan, stressing that they are now in an open battle against the enemy.
The prisoners said they will resort to escalating measures, and called for punishing “the killers of the martyr Khader Adnan.”
The PIJ prisoners added that anyone who wants to help the prisoners must “work for their release, because the occupation has decided to kill them.”
Palestine’s Prisoners’ Information Office announced that the Captive Movement has declared general mobilization and mourning in prisons and the closure of all cell blocks, revealing that the communication between the captive movement’s leadership and “Ofer” prison was cut by the Israelis in the wake of the assassination of prisoner Khader Adnan.
The office warned the occupation prison’s administration against “the consequences of singling out any prisoner.”
On its part, the Supreme National Emergency Committee indicated that “mourning within prisons will continue until a response equivalent to this heinous crime is delivered.”
Earlier this morning, the PIJ announced the martyrdom of one of its senior members, Khader Adnan, inside Israeli occupation prisons 87 days into his hunger strike.
The martyred prisoner had been placed under administrative detention since February, and was kept for almost three months in prison without being charged or offered a trial.
“Pray that God accepts me as a sincere martyr in His service.”
With these words, Resistance commander Sheikh Khader Adnan sealed his will when he wrote it on the 58th day of his hunger strike. Adnan was martyred after the Israeli occupation committed homicide through the systematic medical negligence practiced against him.
