With a poll sample of 1,530 people, the CNN/SSRS found that 33%, if they had to make a choice between former US President Donald Trump and incumbent US President Joe Biden would prefer to vote for Trump.
A poll conducted by CNN/SSRS revealed that 36% of US citizens, who were sampled, do not consider either incumbent US President Joe Biden or former US President Donald Trump as favorable presidential candidates in the 2024 US presidential elections.
The poll, published on June 20, indicated that 33% still preferred Trump over Biden, while 32% supported Biden over Trump if they had to make such a decision.
According to CNN/SSRS, the poll surveyed 1,350 US adults between June 13 till 17 with a margin of error of 3.4 at the 95% confidence level
80% of GOP voters say Trump should be able to serve again
According to a CBS News-YouGov survey released on June 11, as many as 80% of prospective Republican primary voters say Trump should be allowed to run for president again even if convicted of mishandling classified information.
2,480 US adult residents were sampled and asked about Trump’s indictment.
The 37 indictments released this week focused on Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified material. These indictments pile over a set of personal, political, and commercial charges of misconduct.
Trump was already the first former or sitting president to be charged with a crime — in his case over election-eve hush money payments to a porn star who said she had an affair with him.
Another 76% of respondents believe Trump’s indictment is politically motivated, while only 12% believe the ex-President’s alleged behavior poses a national security danger. According to the report, another 12% are concerned about both issues.
According to the data, 61% of those polled indicated they would not change their minds about Trump in light of the accusations disclosed in the indictment, while 14% said their minds could change for the better.
What is more interesting is that 74% of voters expressed that they would like to see a nominee comparable to Trump if it were not him.
