The Syrian Ministry of Defense has successfully intercepted and destroyed three explosive-laden drones belonging to terrorists
The Syrian Ministry of Defense has reported the successful interception and destruction of three explosive-laden drones that were attempting to target safe villages and towns in the countryside of Idlib and Hama.
The ministry revealed that the armed forces, after meticulous monitoring and tracking of the movements of terrorist organizations, managed to thwart the repeated attempts by these groups to attack innocent civilians and their properties.
The armed forces, operating in the direction of the aforementioned regions, deployed defense weapons to neutralize the imminent threat. By shooting down the drones, which were armed with explosives, the Syrian forces ensured the safety of the surrounding communities and averted potential damage.
This latest incident underscores the ongoing challenges faced by the Syrian military in several governments, where terrorist groups often resort to such tactics to cause harm and chaos. The interception of these drones reflects the Syrian armed forces’ continued efforts to safeguard and protect its citizens.
Earlier reports from the Ministry of Defense revealed that units of the Syrian army had recently destroyed military equipment and weaponry used by terrorists operating in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib. This included the elimination of a 122mm caliber howitzer that was being used by terrorist groups to target nearby villages.
In addition to the successful interception of explosive-laden drones, the Syrian armed forces continue to collaborate with the Russian Air Force to address the ongoing security concerns in the region.
The joint efforts have led to the targeting of militant headquarters and depots, as well as the destruction of sites used for launching drones. These operations have significantly disrupted the activities of these groups and contributed to stabilizing the situation.
