Upon meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday, the head of the Palestinian Resistance, Ismail Haniyeh stated that the IOF’s aerial, naval, and ground attacks in Gaza are unprecedented, but the Palestinian Resistance stands “firm on the battlefield”.
“The Zionist regime and its allies thought that they could eliminate the resistance this way and force it to raise the white flag,” he noted, adding: “The resistance, however, has still stood firm and steadfast on the battlefield and inflicted heavy damage on the Zionist regime after 75 days of Israeli crimes and mass murders as part of its scorched-earth policy.”
Haniyeh hailed Palestine for its resilience while paying a price for doing so, but it continues to resist even though “Israel’s” genocide intensifies.
During the meeting, Haniyeh thanked Amir-Abdollahian for keeping up with the developments in Gaza, as the Iranian diplomat has already made four visits to Qatar since the beginning of the war in October.
A source close to Hamas told AFP that the Palestinian diplomat is due in Egypt on Wednesday for discussions on a renewed Gaza ceasefire, where he is due to hold talks with Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel and others.
The discussions will be “on stopping the aggression and the war to prepare an agreement for the release of prisoners (and) the end of the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip,” the source indicated on condition of anonymity.
