China’s Foreign Ministry says its proposal for a conference to achieve a roadmap for the future of Palestinians must produce “ binding ” results to be effective.
“As for the timing and venue of the conference and where it will be hosted, I think it needs to be determined by all parties through consultation,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a news conference in Beijing.
“China also welcomes the active role of the United Nations in this regard,” she said.
China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, called for a decisive peace conference to achieve a timetable to implement a two-state solution for the Israel-Palestine conflict.
