The IRGC has now named the four members that it lost in a reported Israeli air strike in Syria.
Hojjatollah Omidvar, Ali Aghazadeh, Hossein Mohammadi and Saeed Karimi were named as those killed, but their ranks or any further information was not provided.
But some Iranian state-linked media are reporting that Omidvar was a commander known operationally as Haj Sadegh – the intelligence deputy of the Quds Force in Syria who was operating an intelligence unit when targeted by missiles.
