President Mahmoud Abbas and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi discussed today the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
During a telephone call, the two leaders tackled efforts to end the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and emphasized the importance of increasing humanitarian, relief and medical aid to the Strip and accelerating its entry.
They categorically rejected the displacement of any Palestinian, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, affirming that Gaza is an integral part of the Palestinian state.
The two Presidents stressed that the Israeli occupation’s plans to separate the Gaza Strip from the rest of the Palestinian land would not be accepted or dealt with, including its plans to reduce or re-occupy an inch of its territory.
President Sisi affirmed the Egyptian leadership and people’s support for the Palestinian people, stressing Egypt’s intensive efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and support the Palestinian people in their struggle to gain access to their legitimate right to an independent state.
On the occasion of the month of Ramadan, the two presidents expressed their wishes that the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people would end.
