Jordan and the UAE have ramped up their efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza during the holy month.
The UAE announced on Sunday that it had carried out its 13th airdrop over inaccessible areas in the northern Gaza Strip containing 24 tonnes of food and relief supplies, the Emirates News Agency reported.
In addition, the third Emirati aid ship set sail for the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, carrying 4,630 tonnes of humanitarian supplies bound for Gaza.
Meanwhile, also on Sunday, the Jordanian army initiated six humanitarian and food aid airdrops in the northern Gaza Strip, the Jordan News Agency reported. The operation was carried out by the Royal Jordanian Air Force and aircraft from Egypt, the US, Germany, and Singapore.
In addition, the army and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization sent a humanitarian aid convoy of 25 trucks.
The Jordanian army has reiterated its commitment to continuing support efforts from Marka Airport in Amman to El Arish International Airport in North Sinai to facilitate both airdrops over Gaza and the organization of ground aid convoys.
