MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Russian independent gas producer Novatek announced the signing of a new agreement on import substitution of LNG equipment until 2030, which will help the country achieve technological independence in key technologies and equipment of LNG production by 2027-2028, the company told TASS.
“By maintaining the current pace of work on import substitution and with the support of the government in these areas, we believe it is possible to achieve technological independence and competitiveness in key technologies and equipment for LNG production by 2027-2028,” the company said.
The company specified that the main mechanism for the implementation of the new agreement is the joint implementation of a roadmap for the development of segment titled “Equipment for the production of liquefied natural gas” for the period until 2030.
