The third UAE aid ship carrying 4,630 tonnes of relief supplies arrived at Egypt’s El-Arish port to provide additional humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, Emirates News Agency reported.
The shipment contains 4,218 tonnes of food supplies, 370 tonnes of shelter materials, and 41 tonnes of medical aid, as well as six water tanks, two septic tanks, and one diesel storage tank.
Rashid Mubarak Al-Mansouri, secretary-general of the Emirates Red Crescent, emphasized the organization’s strategic planning in collaboration with its Gaza teams to ensure that supplies are distributed efficiently to those in greatest need.
He stated that the organization was working tirelessly to address the escalating humanitarian challenges in Gaza, with a particular emphasis on food security and essential supplies.
The shipment comes as US charity World Central Kitchen halted its Gaza operations after an Israeli airstrike killed seven aid workers in the enclave.
