Saudi Arabia accounted for 16% of supplies, Iraq accounted for 11%, while Malaysia accounted for almost 11% of deliveries to China
MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Russia became the largest supplier of crude oil to China and India in February 2024, OPEC said in its April report.
Moscow ensured 21% of China’s total oil imports in the reporting period compared with 20% in the previous month, the organization said. Saudi Arabia accounted for 16% of supplies, Iraq accounted for 11%, while Malaysia accounted for almost 11% of deliveries to China. Overall, the country’s oil imports went up by 7% in February month-on-month to 11.1 mln barrels per day, according to OPEC.
Kpler data citing by OPEC shows that Russia ensured 33% of India’s total oil imports in February, followed by Iraq (17% of supplies) and Saudi Arabia (19%). Meanwhile the cartel did not provide information on largest oil suppliers to India for January in its previous report.
India’s total oil imports fell by 11% in February compared with January to 4.5 mln barrels per day.
