Premier Mohammad Mustafa today discussed the developments of the Israeli offensive on Gaza and colonist attacks in the West Bank with Dutch Hanke Bruins Slot.
Premier Mustafa discussed in a phone call with Dutch Foreign Minister Slot the latest developments in Palestine given the ongoing Israeli genocidal offensive on and the ensuing humanitarian disaster in the blockaded Gaza Strip along with the uptick in colonist and Israeli army attacks in the West Bank.
Premier Mustafa briefed the top Dutch diplomat on the Palestinian government’s plans to boost relief efforts, meet emergency needs, bring about institutional reform while stressing the importance of providing the support essential to its success.
He expressed appreciation for the Netherlands for its position in rejecting Israeli colonist attacks against defenceless Palestinians and thanked it for providing relief assistance to Gaza population as well as for efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire.
He called on the Netherlands to resume its funding to the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) given the agency’s important role in providing services to Palestinian refugees.
Dutch Foreign Minister Slot affirmed her country’s position in support of the two-state solution and the importance of achieving peace.
She congratulated Prime Minister Mustafa on the formation of his government while hailing the government’s reform programs and indicating her intention to visit Palestine soon to discuss the situation and issues of mutual concern.
