President Mahmoud Abbas, accompanied by high-ranking officials, arrived today in Manama; the capital and largest city of Bahrain, to participate in the 33rd Arab Summit.
Taha Abdul Qader, the Palestinian ambassador to Bahrain, said the president is expected to deliver the State of Palestine’s speech before the 33rd Arab Summit.
The president is also scheduled to meet with several world leaders set to take part in the Summit.
The Palestinian cause will be at the Top of the Summit’s agenda, including the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
The President is accompanied by Hussein al-Sheikh, the Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Mohammad Mustafa, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Majdi al-Khalidi, Advisor to the President for Diplomatic Affairs and Taha Abdul Qader, the Palestinian ambassador to Bahrain.
