The leader of Yemen’s Houthi movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, announced that today’s attack on Israel was carried out using a high-tech ballistic missile that successfully bypassed Israeli defense systems, reaching a distance of approximately 2,040 kilometers.
He added, “This operation is part of the fifth phase of escalation against the Israeli enemy in support of the Palestinian people, and what’s coming will be greater (…). Our forces continue their successful and highly impactful operations in the seas against ships linked to the Israeli, American, and British enemies.”
In response, Hamas praised the Houthi operation, emphasizing that Israel will not experience security unless its “aggression” on Gaza stops. In a statement, Hamas said, “We affirm that the Zionist enemy will not enjoy security unless it ends its brutal aggression against our people in Gaza,” describing the missile launch as a “natural response to the entity’s aggression against the Palestinian people.”
