On Monday, British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper expressed shock over any form of political violence and shared her relief at Donald Trump’s safety following what the FBI described as an assassination attempt on the former U.S. president and current presidential candidate.
Speaking to Sky News, Cooper stated, “It is horrifying to witness political violence. There should be no place for violence in any political campaign.”
She added, “We are all glad that the former president is safe and that this attempt, whatever it may have been, was not successful.”
