Medical sources in Gaza report that approximately 800 Palestinians have been killed in ongoing air and artillery strikes on northern Gaza over the past 22 days. According to these sources, Israeli forces are detaining entire medical teams at Kamal Adwan Hospital, intensifying the crisis for local responders.
Further details from Saturday indicate that three Palestinians were killed, and others were injured in Israeli artillery fire on Jabalia, located in northern Gaza. Intense shelling has also been reported in northwestern and central areas of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, while heavy artillery shelling struck western and central Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Medical personnel report that they are unable to respond to many emergency calls from residential buildings under heavy attack in Jabalia and other areas in northern Gaza. Civil defense services are currently non-functional in northern Gaza, hampered by ongoing Israeli strikes.
Additionally, the Gaza Civil Defense indicated that Israeli forces have detained male medical staff members at Kamal Adwan Hospital, sparing only the hospital director, Hossam Abu Safieh, a female medical staff member, and a cleaning worker. Some injured patients have also been detained, while female staff members are reportedly held without food or water in a separate room, and the detained male staff members have been restrained and led to an undisclosed location.
