American Delegation Meets with the Autonomous Administration in Kobani
On Tuesday, an American delegation visited the headquarters of the Autonomous Administration in Ain al-Arab/Kobani in northern Syria. North Press obtained information indicating that the delegation will stay in a hotel in the city center, though the duration of their stay remains unspecified.
The delegation met with officials from the Autonomous Administration in Ain al-Arab/Kobani, but neither the Autonomous Administration nor the Syrian Democratic Forces have commented on the visit.
A week ago, American armored vehicles entered Kobani to monitor the ceasefire between Turkey
and the Syrian Democratic Forces, which was brokered by the United States and ended just
yesterday, Sunday.
Earlier, General Brooks, the commander of the International Coalition in the Middle East, stated
that the area east of the Euphrates in Syria is under international protection and agreements, and
they will not allow its stability to be disturbed.
This visit coincides with field developments following the Syrian Democratic Forces’
announcement of launching a counterattack against Turkey-backed opposition factions in the
Manbij countryside.
