Erdogan Declares Plans for Security Beyond Southern Borders in 2025
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that his country has passed the test of humanity in Syria by fulfilling the duties of brotherhood towards the oppressed.
Speaking at a conference of the Justice and Development Party in Balikesir Province on Friday, Erdogan said, “We have fulfilled our duty of brotherhood towards the Syrians for 13 years, helped the oppressed, and succeeded in the test of humanity.”
Erdogan continued, “The Syrian people achieved a quick victory over a dark regime that ruled for 61 years.”
He also addressed the issue of counter-terrorism, declaring, “Starting from the beginning of 2025, we will work to ensure security beyond our southern borders and eliminate threats coming from there, especially the issue of terrorism.”
This announcement underscores Turkey’s ongoing commitment to regional stability and its proactive stance against terrorism, reflecting on past humanitarian efforts and anticipating future security measures.
