Kurdish Autonomous Administration: Ready to Cooperate with Al-Sharaa
Karim Qamar, the representative of the Kurdish Autonomous Administration in France, has affirmed that the statements made by Ahmed Al-Sharaa, the leader of “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” and “Military Operations Administration” in Syria, are positive and can be built upon.
In statements to “Al Arabiya/Al Hadath,” Qamar noted that the Autonomous Administration is going through a transitional period and that the operations administration needs time. He emphasized their readiness to cooperate with Al-Sharaa within the framework of a Syrian-Syrian dialogue.
“Ready to Join the Army”
Qamar also clarified that the Kurdish Autonomous Administration is prepared to integrate into the Syrian army, pointing out that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) could serve as the nucleus for the Syrian military. He stated that Syrians can reach an agreement without external agendas.
This response from the Kurdish administration official comes after Al-Sharaa confirmed in an
interview with “Al Arabiya/Al Hadath” that the current administration is negotiating with the
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to resolve the crisis in northeastern Syria and eventually
integrate them into the governmental armed forces.
Al-Sharaa stressed that the Kurds are an integral part of Syrian society, emphasizing that there
will be no division of the country.
The Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria has repeatedly underscored “the
importance of solidarity among all Syrian components to overcome the transitional period and
work together to draw a common roadmap,” warning against repeating the policy of exclusion and
marginalization that has devastated Syria, according to its officials.
