Tragic Football Match Incident Leads to Chinese Player’s “Brain Death”
In a shocking turn of events during a football training match, a young Chinese player, previously with
Bayern Munich’s youth team, has been diagnosed with “brain death.” Reports confirm that 18-year-old
defender Jiang Jiaxuan suffered a severe blow to the face during a training camp last Thursday.
Jiaxuan was participating in a friendly match against Spanish club RC Alcobendas when the incident
occurred, organized by the Chinese Football Association. His brother took to social media to reveal that
Jiaxuan had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a type of stroke caused by bleeding in the brain,
following the collision.
His brother shared on social media, “During training last Thursday, he was rushed to the hospital after
being kneed in the head by another player. I learned from the translator that the doctor at the hospital
said my brother was suffering from severe bleeding in his head, with little hope of survival. The hospital
was on the verge of removing his life support.”
However, according to reports, Jiang’s father rejected the doctor’s suggestion to turn off the life support and conduct an autopsy, opting instead to bring his son back to China for further treatment.
