Iran-Saudi-China Tripartite Committee Meeting to Monitor Beijing Agreement
The second meeting of the tripartite joint committee between the Islamic Republic of Iran, the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and China was held in Riyadh today, Tuesday, to follow up on the
Beijing Agreement.
The meeting was chaired by Waleed Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji, Deputy Foreign Minister of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with participation from the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran
led by Majid Takht Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister, and the Chinese delegation led by Deng Li,
Vice Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China.
Both the Iranian and Saudi sides reaffirmed their commitment to the full implementation of the
Beijing Agreement and continued efforts to enhance neighborly relations between the two
countries through adherence to the UN Charter, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and
international law, including respect for governmental sovereignty, independence, and security.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran acknowledged the positive and
ongoing role of the People’s Republic of China and the importance of its support and monitoring
in implementing the Beijing Agreement.
