Danish shipping giant Maersk posted Wednesday a 45-percent fall in net profit in the second quarter, as supply chain disruptions due to the Red Sea crisis led to higher operating costs.

RIYADH: Saudi utility giant ACWA Power reported a 35.46 percent increase in net profit for the first half of 2024, reaching SR926.79 million ($246.88 million), compared to the same period last year. 

RIYADH: Petrochemical giant Saudi Basic Industries Corp. saw an 84 percent year-on-year surge in net profit to SR2.18 billion ($564 million) in the second quarter of 2024, driven by higher margins and new zakat regulations. 

The net profit target contains 108 bln rubles ($1.2 bln) worth of effect from the work with frozen assets, Dmitry Pianov noted

Net profit attributed to shareholders under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) amounted to 399 bln rubles ($4.4 bln) in the first quarter of 2024, the Russian oil major Rosneft reported.
