The Official Gazette in Egypt published President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s decision to sign a new law to open an additional appropriation in the state’s general budget.
According to the law signed by the Egyptian President, an additional appropriation will be opened for the state budget for the fiscal year 2022/2023, at a value of 165 billion pounds, distributed among the items of wages, workers’ compensation, benefits, support, grants, and social benefits.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi had called for expediting the preparation of a package to improve the income of workers in the state’s administrative apparatus and those with special cadres, as of April 1, 2023.
According to Al-Sisi’s request, the employee’s income is increased by a minimum of 1,000 pounds per month.
The wages for the sixth grade and its equivalent will be 3,500 pounds per month, as for the qualitative third grade and its equivalent, it will be 5,000 pounds per month, and for holders of a master’s degree working in the state, it will be worth 6,000 pounds per month, and for holders of a PhD degree working in the country, it will be worth 7,000 pounds per month. .
The Egyptian President directed an increase in pensions to be 15% from the beginning of April 2023, in addition to an increase in solidarity and dignity programs by 25%.
