It is noted that jointly with its partners, Beijing is ready to send a signal to the world that it is necessary to defend genuine multipolarity and jointly address global challenges
China is ready to foster relations with Russia, India and other countries against the backdrop of deep and complex changes currently underway in the international arena, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in Monday.
Asked by a TASS reporter to comment on Russia’s updated foreign policy concept, Mao Ning said, “China, Russia and India are large and powerful emerging markets. Amid the deep and complex changes taking place globally and regionally, we are ready to foster ties with the international community, including Russia and India.”
Jointly with its partners, Beijing is ready to send a signal to the world that it is necessary to defend genuine multipolarity and jointly address global challenges, she added.
On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the country’s updated foreign policy concept. According to the document, Russia seeks to further strengthen the comprehensive partnership and the strategic cooperation with China and is focused on “the development of a mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas, provision of mutual assistance, and enhancement of coordination in the international arena to ensure security, stability and sustainable development at the global and regional levels.”
Also, Russia will “build up a particularly privileged strategic partnership” with India, with the aim of enhancing and expanding cooperation in all areas on a mutually beneficial basis, according to the concept. Moscow intends to lay an emphasis on measures to increase bilateral trade, strengthen investment and technological ties with New Delhi, and ensure “their resistance to destructive actions of unfriendly states and their alliances.”
