A committee on the financial market of the State Duma of Russia has prepared an updated version of a draft law on the use of the digital ruble, Interfax reported.
In the updated version, the deputies clarify the obligations of the Russian Central Bank, and the bill also provides facilities for non-residents when working in the digital ruble .
On April 18, the President of the Russian Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, revealed that Russia is ready to start experimenting with the digital ruble, and after the trial version, it will be possible to offer the digital ruble to everyone.
And the digital ruble is a special token that will be stored in an electronic wallet. It is planned to become a full-fledged means of payment, along with the usual ruble.
