Dr. Raisi, in a meeting with Mrs. Puan Maharani, Speaker of the House of Representatives of this country, referring to the talks and documents signed with the Indonesian authorities, announced the development of relations between the two countries in the fields of energy, medicine, and science and technology, and emphasized that there are no obstacles in the way. During this trip, the signing ceremony of documents and memorandums of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Indonesia was held and the officials of the two countries signed eleven cooperation documents.
Among the memorandums of the parties; Preferential trade, cancellation of visas, cultural exchanges, regulatory cooperation on the production of pharmaceutical products, cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation, and bilateral cooperation in the field of oil and gas, including cooperation documents signed between the ministers of foreign affairs, communications and information technology, oil and Scientific and technological mines of the president and deputy minister of Samat, with their Indonesian counterparts, which were unveiled at the end of the cooperation documents signed in the presence of the presidents of the two countries.
The visit of the honorable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia will improve the political status of both countries. Indonesia is one of the largest Muslim countries in the world, and communication with this country will have a significant impact on promoting the action of the Non-Aligned Movement organization and improving relations with East Asian countries; And on the other hand, both countries have extraordinary capacity in commercial and economic fields; Therefore, this trip will bring many achievements, and the signing of the memorandums can also solve the country’s deficiencies in various sectors, including industries.
The important topic of this trip is in the field of foreign policy with Indonesia’s approach, with a special view in this field, the two countries will carry out joint useful actions. Another dimension of this trip is in the field of science and technology diplomacy, where both sides have signed memorandums in this important field. Also, this trip in the energy sector, which has created a valuable capacity for Tehran and Jakarta, which will lead to the expansion of business relations through the chambers of commerce of both sides.
By examining the actions of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it seems that Mr. Raisi’s government’s focus on the policy of its Muslim neighbors and other large Islamic countries such as Indonesia can be an important feature for Iran at this historical turning point and to get out of part of the Western pressure. In this regard, Indonesia, as one of the largest Islamic countries with a population of 280 million Muslims, definitely plays a significant role in the field of Islamic geopolitics, and due to the serious determination of this country to achieve sustainable development, it can be a target of the republic’s strategic and long-term goals in various fields. It is important that in the past, relatively stable bilateral relations between the two countries have been established, but the current plan of this trip and its agreements are beyond what currently exists. However, in order to realize the goals of this important trip, many platforms must be provided in order to raise the level of the two countries to an ideal level, and Jakarta, following its diligent policy in the field of national economy and firm determination for transformation, has had a significant growth that has been able to rank as the 17th best economy in the world. achieved and the continuation of this process will have a clear perspective in the future.
One of the important variables among the Asian countries is the “ASEAN” domain, which Indonesia is currently one of the most active among other countries, and on the other hand, the location of this country in the geographical area of the Pacific Ocean and the Strait of Malacca plays a very important role in the balance. It plays a regional and global geostrategic role. On the other hand, the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Persian Gulf region is considered as one of the most sensitive and powerful positions in the world, which can supply the energy needs of East Asian countries, one of which is Indonesia.
