Syrian Deputy Finance Minister Riyad Abdel Raouf stated that Finance Minister Kinan Yaghi will represent his country at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum next month.
This came, according to a statement published by the “Roscongress” Foundation, which is responsible for organizing the event, today, Friday.
Abdul Raouf said, “Finance Minister Kinan Yaghi will participate in the Petersburg International Economic Forum as a representative of Syria, at the invitation of Anton Kobyakov, advisor to the Russian president and executive secretary of the organizing committee of the forum.”
The Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held this year from 14 to 17 June 2023, and it is remarkable in the economic event that the UAE participates as a guest of honor.
This comes after Egypt participated in this capacity in the 2022 edition of the forum, and Qatar in 2021. In 2022, the forum witnessed the conclusion of deals and contracts worth about 5.6 trillion rubles ($105 billion), as 691 agreements were signed.
