Israeli occupation forces storm the villages of Al-Tuwana and Al-Mufqara, assault their residents, and search and ransack their homes.
A number of Palestinian civilians sustained injuries and bruises, as a result of Israeli settlers’ attacks on several areas in Masafer Yatta, south of occupied Al-Khalil, state-run Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Saturday.
The news agency cited local activist Rateb Al-Jabour as saying that the illegal Israeli settlers assaulted Palestinian citizens and their shepherds in the Sadet Al-Thala area, adding that one Israeli settler attempted to ram a herd of sheep belonging to a Palestinian resident.
Al-Jabour pointed out that Palestinian youths confronted the settlers’ attacks before Israeli occupation forces intervened to protect the settlers and cordoned off the area.
The activist added that the illegal Israeli settlers also attacked a number of Palestinians in Al-Tuwana area, including a 55-year-old man who was transferred to the hospital as a result.
The Palestinian news agency reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the villages of Al-Tuwana and Al-Mufqara, assaulted their residents, and searched and ransacked their homes.
In the same context, illegal Israeli settlers pumped wastewater into agricultural lands in the town of Nahalin, west of occupied Beit Lahm, WAFA mentioned.
The news agency cited Hassan Brijieh, coordinator of the national committee against the Israeli occupation separation wall and settlements, as saying that the settlers pumped wastewater into the lands of the Ain Faris area, which includes a water spring and is planted with different types of crops.
Brijieh noted that Israeli settlers frequently pump wastewater into those areas, causing environmental pollution.
