Ghaith Safia, an international economist, described the UAE’s joining the BRICS Group as an influential addition to the group’s work.
In an interview with Sputnik, Safia attributed the reason for the influential addition provided by the UAE to the group’s work to several factors, saying: “The United Arab Emirates is one of the fastest growing countries in the world due to its proximity to active, promising and flexible markets with standards that guarantee business success within a safe and stable environment and in accordance with modern and advanced controls and systems.”
He pointed to the distinctive, civilized and open social impact as a way of life in which the UAE is distinguished and the coexisting societal diversity from all parts of the world, which helps the UAE to be an influential part and engine in global growth in all areas of the free economy, he said.
Safia added: “Future Projects related to the National Strategy for Food Security, which distinguishes the UAE from the rest of the group, which will be affected by the rule of those countries in line with the goal of establishing the UAE as a leading global center in the field of food security based on the idea of food integration in the region and the world.”
Safia spoke about the trading volume that this country represents from the share of global trading in all economies, saying: “The UAE’s global trading volume in all fields of the industrial and commercial economy makes it an influential country in the global economy and trade exchange, and what is confirmed by international banks and the active trading markets operating in it.”
