The Council of the Union of Arab Chambers unanimously agreed to adopt the recommendation of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce to lift the unjust unilateral coercive sanctions on Syria, to be submitted to the United Nations, the European Union and the League of Arab States.
In the presence of 17 Arab countries participated in the meetings of the 134th session of the Council of the Union of Arab Chambers, which was held in the Bahraini capital, Manama, and discussed mechanisms to activate the role of the joint Arab chambers in serving the Arab business sector and promoting intra-Arab trade between Arab countries and European and American countries.
“It is promising that the Arabs will unite on a decision in the interest of the Syrian people”
Professor of Economics at Tishreen University, Dr. Ahmed Adeeb Ahmed, described this approval as promising, saying: “It may be promising that the Arabs gather on a decision in the interest of the Syrian people regarding the recommendation to lift the unjust economic sanctions against Syria, and we hope that Arab governments will abide and support this recommendation in word and deed, because the lifting of economic sanctions results positively against the Syrian people, who have been besieged for twelve years, and who are suffering from the repercussions of a global terrorist war launched on their country without any guilt to him.”
