The United States has been flying surveillance drones over Gaza in an attempt to search for captives taken by Hamas following the October 7 attack on Israel, two US officials told the Reuters news agency.
One of the officials said they had been carrying out the drone flights for more than a week.
US officials have said 10 Americans who remain unaccounted for may be among the more than 200 people taken as captives into Gaza, where they are believed to be held in Hamas’s extensive tunnel network.
