President Mahmoud Abbas this evening received a phone call from the chancellor of Austria, Karl Nehammer, during which the president underlined the need to immediately put an end to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and rush to the aid of the Strip and provide it with humanitarian assistance, including medical and relief supplies, food, water, and fuel.
The president maintained that displacing the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, including Jerusalem, is totally rejected and will not be accepted.
He warned against the dangerous repercussions of the ongoing attacks committed by the Israeli forces and terrorist colonists against the Palestinian people and their Muslim and Christian holy sites.
President Abbas emphasized the need to implement the political solution based on the international legitimacy of the United Nations for the attainment of freedom, independence, and sovereignty of the Palestinian people, which will thereby ensure security and stability in the region.
He stressed that there is no security or military solution to the Strip, stating that: “Gaza is an integral part of the state of Palestine.”
