The announcement comes after the United Nations agency’s Gaza chief said staff in Gaza earlier today warned that the humanitarian operation in Gaza would “grind to a halt” if no fuel is allowed into the enclave.
“Our trucks have run out of fuel,” Thomas White wrote on X. “We will not be able to receive aid coming thru Rafah crossing tomorrow”.
White earlier said fuel is also needed to produce clean drinking water, pump sewage and power hospitals.
