The US president was responding to a shouted question at the end of a White House climate event.
When asked if he could give a message of hope for those held captive in Hamas, he said: “Yes I can, I’ve been talking with the people involved every single day.”
“I believe it’s going to happen, but I don’t want to get into details,” he said, apparently referring to the release of captives.
“Hang in there, we’re coming,” he added.
