Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have held talks in Algiers.
Speaking to reporters afterwards, Tebboune described the situation in Gaza as “a human tragedy caused by the heinous crimes of the occupation”.
“We affirm the right of the Palestinian people to establish their state with Jerusalem as its capital, on the borders of June 1967,” he said.
For his part, Erdogan accused Israel of committing war crimes and also called for a “just peace based on the two-state solution”.
