Maria Zakharova emphasized that internet and communication services have been down for some time in the Gaza Strip
Several hundred Russians staying in the Gaza Strip and Egypt are waiting to be evacuated, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RT.
“I can say that, indeed, a significant number, several hundred of our citizens remain in the Gaza Strip and on the territory of Egypt awaiting evacuation. Some of them remain on the territory of the Gaza Strip, some have already crossed the relevant border and are waiting for evacuation in Egypt,” the diplomat said.
Zakharova emphasized that internet and communication services have been down for some time in the Gaza Strip. “Many people who wanted to leave the Gaza Strip were unable to even report this,” she pointed out.
As the diplomat emphasized, Russia continues to receive requests from Russians, so evacuation efforts will continue.
