Casualties are being reported in the Israeli air strike on the Jabalia refugee camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
Footage from the ground shared by Palestinian journalists and TV crews shows residents using their hands to pull out survivors from under the rubble, while others discover dead bodies, including a baby whose body appears to be torn into pieces.
Some critically injured are being carried away on stretchers or even mattresses.
“Where is my father?” screamed a child covered in dust as smoke was still rising.
“We can hear voices from under the debris,” says another resident.
