Israel’s military says it identified a rocket launch from Syria towards its territory and its artillery responded by striking the site. The army gave no further details.
In recent weeks, Israeli fighter jets struck rocket launchers in Syria and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah targets in response to earlier rocket fire into Israeli territory.
Israel’s military has been engaged in cross-border fighting with Hezbollah and has launched repeated air raids on Syria since beginning its war on Gaza.
