The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, warns the United States against escalating hostilities in Yemen or involving other nations in protecting Israeli ships.
The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF), Brigadier General Yahya Saree, issued a warning on Friday, stating, “We caution the American enemy of the repercussions of any escalation against our nation and our people.”
Brigadier General Saree, through his account on X, added, “We caution all nations against getting involved or cooperating with the United States in protecting the Zionist enemy’s ships.”
He emphasized that Yemen’s stance on the Palestinian issue is “steadfast and principled, and will remain unchanged, regardless of developments or challenges,” adding that the YAF are fully prepared and ready to counter any aggression.
Saree addressed Washington: “You should heed the warnings of the leader of the Ansar Allah movement.”
The leader of Ansar Allah, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, affirmed that “the United States will be a direct target if it attacks Yemen,” indicating that the Americans are aware of the gravity of this warning. This comes in the wake of the United States and several Western and regional countries announcing the formation of a maritime coalition, aimed at preventing Yemen from targeting Israeli ships en route to occupied Palestine.
Similarly, morning demonstrations occurred on Friday in support of the resilience and resistance of the Palestinian people. The gatherings took place in the squares of Saada in the Razih District and al-Jarsha in the Ghamr and al-Marazem District, chanting “With you until victory, and the Americans will not deter us.”
Al-Bukhaiti: YAF are eager to confront the main enemy, Washington
In response, a member of the Ansar Allah Movement’s political bureau, Mohammad al-Bukhaiti, asserted that Yemen “will emerge victorious in any military confrontation if subjected to an attack.”
He elaborated, stating, “Our message to adversaries is that the Yemeni armed forces are ready and eager to confront the primary enemy, namely the United States.”
Al-Bukhaiti expressed the belief that the non-participation of both Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the international coalition to guard Israeli ships is a “positive development.”
On Thursday, the Minister of Defense in the Sanaa government, Major General Mohammad al-Atifi, warned foreign forces “against engaging in various activities supporting the Zionist entity in the maritime theater that spans between Arab states and Bahrain in the Red Sea.”
Al-Atifi stated during the graduation ceremony of a military class in al-Hudaydah Governorate on Thursday that “our intelligence closely monitors the military activities of the American, British, and French forces in the Red and Arabian seas with precision and depth.”
He also emphasized that “the leadership, government, people, armed forces, and security of the Republic of Yemen stand unwaveringly with the Palestinian people until they liberate all the occupied Palestine lands, with the holy al-Quds as its capital.”
