A journalist has shared a video on Instagram documenting the moment Israeli forces shot and killed a civilian in the al-Mawasi area, near Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, three days ago.
The video clip, verified by Al Jazeera and published by Ahmed Hijazee on his Instagram account, clearly shows Ramzi Abu Sahloul being shot in the chest while trying with four people to rescue a number of displaced people trapped in the area, including members of his family.
In the video, Hijazee pointed out that Israeli forces targeted Abu Sahloul despite his escort waving a white flag, which is shown in the recently published video.
The British channel ITV published a field report on January 24, entitled “The moment of the killing of an innocent civilian raising the white flag in the safe zone in Gaza” and received global condemnation at the time.
