President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, Monday met in the Qatari capital, Doha, with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
President Abbas and Prince Tamim discussed the latest developments in the situation in the Palestinian territories, and the efforts made to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, which is subjected to a war of extermination from the Israeli killing machine.
The President warned against the grave dangers resulting from the occupation army launching an attack on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, which houses more than 1.5 million Palestinian citizens who took refuge from the north and center of the Strip, as a result of the Israeli crimes committed against Palestinian civilians, and the destruction of hospitals, shelter centers and international headquarters.
President Abbas stressed the need for the intervention of the international community, especially the US administration, to oblige Israel to stop its rabid war against the Palestinian people, and to stop its attack on the city of Rafah, which, if carried out, will lead to a humanitarian catastrophe and hideous massacres aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land and homeland, in a repetition of the Nakba of 1948 and 1967, “we will not allow for them to happen again, no matter what happens.”
The President stressed that Palestinian people in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, are being subjected to crimes of murder, ethnic cleansing, and racial discrimination carried out by the occupation army and terrorist settlers, which must be stopped immediately, in addition to the need to release Palestinian clearing funds withheld from the Israeli occupation authorities, with the aim of preventing the Palestinian government from carrying out its duties towards Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip.
