Colombian President Gustavo Petro told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today that “you will go down in history as a genocide [perpetrator]”, two days after the Columbian leader urged the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu
In a post on X, addressed to Netanyahu, Petro wrote, “Dropping bombs on thousands of innocent children, women and elderly people does not make you a hero. You remain alongside those who killed millions of Jews in Europe.”
“A genocide is a genocide no matter and regardless of religion. Try to at least stop the massacre,” he added.
On Friday, Petro called for the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu against the backdrop of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has so far claimed the lives of at least 35,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children and women.
