Al-Maliki reaffirmed Iraq’s unwavering positions on the Palestinian cause and expressed strong condemnation of the ongoing Israeli occupation crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
He stressed the need for the immediate cessation of all systematic killings by Israel’s war machine of Palestinians, while noting that Iraq continues to support the Palestinian cause at the official and popular levels, particularly through providing assistance to Palestinians.
He commended the positions of the Arab countries that confronted Israel’s schemes designed to displace Palestinians and undermine the Palestinian cause, and that sought to safeguard the historical right of Palestinians to their land.
He affirmed his support for all international efforts aimed at bringing an end to the genocidal war and holding the perpetrators of genocide crimes to account.
The meeting was attended by State of Palestine’s ambassador to Iraq Ahmad al-Ruwaidi.
