Norwegian police issued an international search warrant for a suspect connected to the sale of pager devices that exploded in Lebanon.
The police identified the suspect as Renson Vosseh, a 39-year-old believed to be involved in selling pagers used by Hezbollah, which detonated last week. Vosseh, a Norwegian of Indian descent, disappeared during a business trip to the United States last week.
In an email to Reuters, Oslo police stated, “On September 25, Oslo police received a report of a missing person in connection with the pager case.”
The statement continued, “The police have opened a missing person case and issued an international search notice for the individual.”
The pager and walkie-talkie devices used by Hezbollah members reportedly exploded in Syria and Lebanon, resulting in dozens of deaths and thousands of injuries. While Israel is suspected to be behind these explosions, Tel Aviv has neither confirmed nor denied its involvement.
