On Wednesday morning, Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes targeting several areas in southern and eastern Lebanon. The strikes hit towns including Arab Salim, Qana, Srifa, Taybeh, and the outskirts of Barghliyeh, Frun, Silaa, Baflayeh, Khiyam, and the plains of Medneh near Kfarreman in southern Lebanon.
In addition, airstrikes targeted the outskirts of the village of Sreireh in the Jezzine area, also located in southern Lebanon. According to the official National News Agency (NNA) of Lebanon, there was significant civilian movement in Tyre, with people evacuating following Israeli threats to target several homes.
Israeli forces also struck Labaya in the western Bekaa region of eastern Lebanon and Jabal Abu Rashed, situated between western Bekaa and Jezzine. Early Wednesday, the town of Younine in the Bekaa region was hit, with an Israeli airstrike targeting a hangar in the area.
Late Tuesday, Israeli airstrikes hit Beirut’s southern suburbs, damaging a building near Bahman Hospital, according to NNA reports. The attack caused substantial damage to the hospital.
Since September 23, Israel has been intensifying its airstrikes, focusing on southern Lebanon, the Bekaa region, and the southern suburbs of Beirut. These strikes have also reached Beirut’s capital and the Mount Lebanon and northern regions. The air raids continue, and on October 1, the Israeli army launched a concentrated ground operation in southern Lebanon.
