During Trump’s Era: Will New Information on JFK’s Assassination be Revealed?
Russian political researcher Vladimir Batyuk has claimed that the release of secret documents related to the assassination of the 35th US President, John F. Kennedy, could lead to a scandal undermining the official American narrative of the event.
Batyuk, who is a senior researcher at the Institute of the USA and Canada under the Russian Academy of Sciences, stated in an interview with the RIA Novosti agency regarding President-elect Donald Trump’s promise to release the remaining classified documents about JFK’s assassination, “If he does that, the scandal will be unprecedented.”
He added, “There’s a lot in those secret documents that would leave no stone of the official narrative unturned, and if the President issues an order to release the documents, it will have to be executed.”
Batyuk also pointed out that “revealing information about Kennedy’s assassination would expose activities of the deep state that were actually in place during his time.”
Trump had also promised to reveal documents related to the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy, JFK’s brother, and civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr., the Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline arrived in Dallas, Texas. The presidential election was due the following year, and Kennedy was hoping to win votes in this influential city to bolster his chances of re-election for a second term.
The presidential motorcade left the city’s airport just before noon, with Kennedy, accompanied by Texas Governor John Connally and their wives, in an open-topped Lincoln Continental.
Crowds lined the streets to greet Kennedy’s motorcade, with the President and his companions waving to the cheering citizens.
At 12:30 PM, shots rang out from a nearby schoolbook depository. One bullet struck Kennedy in the back, exiting through his neck, while another shattered his head.
The scene was horrific, with Jacqueline Kennedy, in shock, moving to the back of the car to hold onto what remained of her husband’s head.
Just 35 minutes after being shot, the American President passed away without regaining consciousness, leaving behind one of the 20th century’s greatest mysteries, despite the investigation being conducted under the supervision of his brother, Robert F. Kennedy, who was the U.S. Attorney General at the time.
According to the official theory, later concluded by the FBI, President Kennedy was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald, a former Marine who had lived in the Soviet Union.
The official investigation,
Which lasted 10 months, stated that the assassin acted alone, firing three shots from a rifle from
the sixth floor of the book depository building, hitting the President twice in the back and head
within 5.6 seconds.
Oswald, who was arrested, was killed two days later by Jack Ruby, a nightclub owner, while being
transferred from the city jail.
However, a special House Select Committee on Assassinations concluded in 1979 that Kennedy
was “probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy,” suggesting that two gunmen were
involved.
Many analysts believe that the CIA and FBI have long since disposed of the most incriminating
evidence that could prove the involvement of American security agencies in Kennedy’s
assassination.
The logical discrepancies and the mysteries surrounding the crime still lead many to believe that
American intelligence agencies orchestrated this crime.
