Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated on Sunday that “Hezbollah has started to sense some of our capabilities,” as Israel continues its airstrikes on Lebanon.
Gallant visited the air force’s command and control center that morning, receiving a briefing from Air Force Commander Colonel Tomer Bar on the military’s preparations for both defense and attack.
During the visit, Gallant remarked, “Hezbollah is beginning to feel some of our strength, and we believe we are executing this effectively.”
He added, “These operations will continue until we can safely return northern residents to their homes. That is our goal, and we will do whatever is necessary to achieve it.”
Gallant further emphasized, “I came to observe the air force’s operations up close, and the results are very impressive, both in defense and attack, on all levels.”
Rising Tensions Between Israel and Hezbollah
Western experts and officials warn that Israel and Hezbollah seem to be heading toward full-scale war, following a recent escalation in attacks.
Both sides have exchanged fire since the Gaza conflict began almost a year ago. Hezbollah launched rockets in solidarity with the Palestinians and their ally, Hamas.
