Tehran’s Alliance with Moscow and Beijing Poses a Serious Challenge to Washington
In a recent statement, the Iranian Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, has underscored that the alliance between Iran, Russia, and China poses the most significant challenge currently facing the
United States. In an article for the magazine “Iran,” Jalali highlighted, “Currently, the greatest
challenge and threat for the United States is the rapprochement and alliance between Iran,
Russia, and China.”
From the perspective of the American elite, Jalali suggests that Tehran, Moscow, and Beijing,
through the unification of their economic, diplomatic, military, and technological capabilities,
could in the medium term confront the Western global order, potentially steering the future world
order towards a multipolar, just, and democratic nature.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also emphasized that the Comprehensive Strategic
Partnership Treaty between Iran and Russia is entirely balanced and not directed against any
third country. He described the treaty as comprehensive, covering all areas with a strong
economic dimension alongside judicial, security, parliamentary, and defense cooperation.
Jalali announced on December 26 last year that the Russo-Iranian agreement would be signed on
January 17 in Moscow during discussions between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian
President Masoud Pezeshkian.
